Every GHI Member, Ever.

Three years! That has got to be a record for us. I mean, I realize that we're pretty bad at keeping things updated.. but three entire years have gone by since we touched this website. Wow. Three years since we announced "GHI's WTF?!", which.. well.. we never got around to. But let us explain, dear paranormal friend, where we have been and what we've been up to.

Since September of 2008, we've all been busy with our own stuff. Things came up, people developed new priorities, and most of us, well, we grew up. Things changed. Bill and Gowin moved to Florida, Nick and Greg moved to Chicago, and everyone else moved on. Gowin began giving lectures on the orb phenomena at paranormal conventions for awhile, while Greg, Dana, and Nick began working on a paranormal magazine and hosting a podcast for awhile. There were even television show offers between now and then, believe it or not. The Paranormal State producers attempted to entice us into becoming The New Class (hilarious!), but we quite literally told them to fuck off. Jason Gowin, on the other hand, became the "tech expert" for Extreme Paranormal. Nick was almost buried underground for a year on a reality show. He wisely declined.

Suffice it to say, Ghost Hunters, Inc. is on a long vacation right now. We'd all like to believe that eventually there will be an opportunity to come out of hibernation, but in a world that is overcome by ghost hunting fever, we're trying our best to stay ahead of the curve and keep our heads above the sea of bad acronyms and body odor that is the ghost hunting community. It's all a bit crowded right now. We're lucky in the sense that we started out very innocent to all the nonsense. The first night we hit the local cemetery, the bulk of us were 12 years old and jacked up on MTV's Fear.  We got to experience what it was like to creep through an abandoned house before it was trampled all over by a bunch of overweight jagoffs with goatees and stud finders. If nothing else, it's given us a lot of great memories and our experiences in GHI have fueled all the projects we've tackled since, good and bad.

All that said, this page will remain as a reminder of those good times (and to continue getting asked, "hey guys, how do you get to the 7 Gates of Hell?"), for anyone who cares to read about them. When reading about how excited we were about our first orb photo in Estep Manor, remember that we were just kids, and we've long since accepted that orbs are dust, and half the crap we believed at the time was bullshit. So what the hell is wrong with the rest of the ghost hunting community? Regardless, even though we're taking a nice long nap, a few of us have been hard at work on a little something that, honestly, we believe is the spiritual successor to Ghost Hunters, Incorporated: "Who Forted?" Magazine - The 'Zine About Weird Stuff. We've pretty well gathered up the ideas and attitude that made GHI the force of nature that it was, and injected them into an online magazine that is causing just as much a ruckus as our old ghost hunting team did back in the day. Go check it out, and you'll be hooked. We promise. Until then, we'll catch you on the other side. -GHI

Wow, what a crazy week! If any of you are regular followers of the blog we've been keeping over at MySpace you'll have noticed that we were the subject of some major censorship last weekend. Apparently some of the people we'd singled out in the blog (Chip Coffey, Ryan Buell, ParaRetarded Radio), used the shrill whine of their complaining to get every one of our blogs deleted.

Thanks, guys! You've only pressured us to make our stuff even more accessible. Anywho, we posted a new blog to give everyone an update on what the deal is concerning the blog entries from now on. Go check it out at our MySpace blog and keep your eyes peeled. The new stuff is coming soon.

Welcome to the official Ghost Hunters, Incorporated Online HQ. For ten years, GHI has remained one of the most innovative and passionate paranormal investigation groups in the field, all the while remaining completely independent, a rarity in the latest generation of TAPS bred "family" groups. In a sea of carbon copy "ghost hunting" teams, GHI continues to strive for a more humorous, sanity-friendly approach to the topic of the unexplained. No ridiculous "international standards", no "para-celebrity mentors", and no phony "certification". Just four regular people (and one crazy bigfoot hunter) with an insatiable appetite for an irregular hobby : seeking out the strange.

No pretense. All passion. Passion that has led members of the team to be, separately as well as collectively, the focus of two full-length documentaries, a twelve episode television series, several speaking tours, as well as book entries, radio interviews, and various other media pieces. Interestingly enough, it has been the same passion and desire for independence that keeps GHI planted firmly on the edge of the increasingly ludicrous paranormal investigation "community", right where we like it.

Curious about what the team's been up to over the years? Just check out the Adventures portion of the website to see a sampling of the archived outings dating back to the group's formation in 1998. Want to check out our award winning documentary film "GHI Vs. Bigfoot" or any of our other Fight or Flight Productions video projects without paying a dime? Go check out the "Films" section. There's plenty more to be seen here at the HQ, so poke around and keep checking back for more updates. There's a lot of good stuff on the way, like the debut of our upcoming webisode series! Stay safe, and for the love of God...

Put down the remote control and pick up a videocamera.
